CONCEPT-PROJECT OF MODULAR HOUSES FOR INTERNALLY DISPLACED PERSONS (IDPS)

Modular housing project is designed with consideration for military conflicts and crises that we currently face, which force many individuals to leave their homes and become refugees. The design project for residential modules is planned on Dachna Street in Chernihiv with the aim of providing functional housing for those who have lost their homes.

Factory manufacturing of the modules allows for a reduction in construction time, as many tasks are performed simultaneously. The design of the housing module also takes into account cost-effectiveness and ease of transportation to other cities or regions. The modules are equipped with all necessary functionality for full and long-term living.

The placement of the modules includes common areas within the settlement for community recreation, playgrounds for children, all created to facilitate interaction among refugees. The exterior appearance of the frame house is defined by a simple design. For external finishing of the walls, facade boards and panels are used, providing both thermal insulation and an aesthetic appearance.

To ensure warmth and comfort, insulation with mineral wool is used for the floor, walls, and ceiling, along with plastic windows. The house frame is made of sturdy steel for module stability. Only one floor is designed, utilizing energy-efficient technologies for thermal insulation optimization and energy resource savings.

The modular building consists of individual living units: a bedroom, a children’s room, a bathroom – each with its own entrance and pre-installed equipment and furniture. The common area includes a kitchen, dining area, and recreational space. Furniture is arranged for convenience and efficiency in usage. The heating and air conditioning system should provide comfortable conditions throughout the year. Communication and internet access are also provided for convenience in communication and information retrieval.

This project is designed to combine stylish and modern exterior appearance with functionality and comfort of interior space, providing residents with innovative and environmentally friendly housing.
