CONCEPT-PROJECT OF MODULAR HOUSES FOR INTERNALLY DISPLACED PERSONS (IDPS)
The project concept revolves around the construction of temporary residences for individuals who have lost their homes or have been forced to leave their dwellings. The number of Ukrainians without shelter has reached millions, exacerbating the challenge of providing housing for these individuals. The modular settlement, located in the city of Chernihiv on Naftovikiv Street, comprises 24 modular houses capable of accommodating around two hundred people.
Each module essentially constitutes a separate apartment measuring 40 square meters, featuring two rooms, a private bathroom, and a kitchen equipped with all necessary utilities and appliances. Modern modular constructions include heating, plumbing, and ventilation systems. Modular construction also offers significant advantages in terms of simplicity, speed of assembly, and transportability as needed.
The use of wood and metal frames in the houses ensures their durability and reliability. The design of the modular houses incorporates serene, light colors and natural materials. Wood in the interior design adds coziness, while the white color enhances the sense of space. The working area in the kitchen and the bathroom are adorned with gray tiles. Gray color has a positive impact on the emotional state of individuals, relieving tension and providing a sense of calm and security, which is crucial for internally displaced persons. The exterior walls are planned to be finished with white textured plaster and wooden elements.
The primary goal of this project is to provide dignified and comfortable living conditions for affected individuals, landscaping and beautification of the settlement area, and creating a cozy atmosphere inside the temporary houses.
